Sponsored by the Keokuk Area Convention & Tourism Bureau, Lee County Conservation and Montrose Riverfront, Inc., Bald Eagle Appreciation Days features a wide range of activities related to America’s national symbol.

Keokuk: Saturday from 9 am - 5 pm

On at Victory Park in Keokuk personnel from the Lee County Conservation Board will staff viewing points with spotting scopes to enable visitors to see the large gathering of bald eagles that congregate at Keokuk because of Lock and Dam #19. Saturday's activities at the First Christian Church displays from Lee County Conservation, Native American drumming, singing & dancing, and storytelling, live bird presentations by the World Bird Sanctuary of St. Louis, Iowa State University's Insect Zoo, vendors and food.

Montrose: Sunday 9 am to 5 pm

On Sunday at the Montrose Riverfront Landing there will be youth and adult scavenger hunts, outdoor & indoor viewing of wildlife and birds, Lee County Conservation nature displays, Hunold Heritage Center Open for group tours, a winter planter demonstration by Jim’s Greenhouse, vendors and food.

Sunday Times:
In Montrose: 9 am - 5 pm
