The Loop Ice Carnival is held every year in mid-January in the Delmar Loop neighborhood. The carnival features live ice carving demonstrations, ice sculptures, ice slides and ice games for kids, carnival rides, human snow globes, jugglers, photo opportunities, and more.

Spend your day with the Friends of Fort Belle Fontaine Park observing the eagles. A live eagle from the World Bird Sanctuary will be on site from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Our guided hike on the three-mile trail will begin at 10:30 a.m. Hikers and bikers are welcome to take the trek on their own throughout the day.

On this winter wonderland hike with a park naturalist , you may see some wildlife such as deer, groundhogs, birds, and squirrels at Babler State Park. The 1 1/4 mile hike on the Hawthorne Trail that runs along a ridge top offering a fairly flat walking surface and a view of Wildhorse Creek valley that contains a diversity of geology found nowhere else in the park.
