Join experienced naturalists for a three-hour canoe float through seldom explored areas of Reelfoot Lake State Park. Observe old growth cypress forest, a heron rookery, and an eagle nest as you leisurely paddle through the cypress swamp. Exciting sights include large fish swimming, ducks taking flight and the occasional snake making an appearance. A variety of bird life such as songbirds, ducks, herons, owls, or an eagle usually show up to check out the canoeists. This is one of the most unique adventures offered in West Tennessee! You can bring your own gear or Reelfoot Lake State Park provides canoe, life jacket and paddles. It is suggested that you bring snack, drink, change of clothes, camera and binoculars in a waterproof, floatable container. Upper body strength is needed.

Saturdays in April: 1:30 pm
Sundays in April: 9 am
$7 if you bring your own gear and canoe. $14 if the park supplies the equipment.

Directions: Reelfoot Lake State Park is located at various points off TN-21, TN-22, and TN-78 on the south, west and northwest parts of the lake. The Visitor Center is located on the southwest portion of the lake off TN-21/TN-22.
